Opening day for bow was last saterday. Well I was excited and could not wait, for this was my first time in the woods bow hunting. I did not think about really checking out the climbing tree stand that I bought for $30 in the trading post.

Well opening morning was not as good as I thought it would be. It took me an hour and a half to climb about 8 feet in the air, all of a sudden a nice 8 pointer walked out behind me, while I was fighting with the stand. When I finally turned around in the seat, the bottom of the tree stand fell to the base of the tree.

I then called on the radio to my son-in- law to help me down. Boy I felt like a 7 year old beginner. Hopefully the rest of the season is a lot better!!!
