Last night I made this meal for my family and friends using white tail deer meat from this past seasons hunt. It turned out perfect. I did add a bell pepper to add in with the onions and stewed tomatoes and it was delicious. Now one of our guests is the son of a retired French chef and he couldn't get enough.
I would HIGHLY recommend this recipe. Oh, and I used the garlic mashed potatoes as the platform. Delicious!
