Venison Bean Dip

This recipe is great for deer camp or at any party. I was trying to come up with something different and actually did it first with bear so feel free to substitute with what ever meat you have.


Ingredients:
1 can of refried beans
1 lb trimmed & ground venison
1 jar of salsa I use medium hot
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Brown meat with 2 Tb spoons of olive oil in large skillet, preheat oven to 350 deg, add salsa and simmer for 5 minutes on a medium heat.

While this is going on add spread the refried beans in a 9x9 glass baking dish evenly across the bottom.

When meat/salsa mix is done spread over beans and sprinkle cheese over the top and place in oven for appx 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbling.

Let cool and serve with tortila chips while still warm.
