Skillet Fried Venison Steaks

This is a recipe that my friend Scott taught me. Simple and easy! Also very tasty!


Ingredients:

3/4 stick of butter (1/2 stick will do just fine if you don't want to use that much)

1/2 onion, chopped or sliced

Venison steaks

Melt the butter in your skillet. Place your onion in the skillet once the butter is totally melted.

Keep your heat at a medium level to start to sautee the onions. Once the onions start to sweat, add the venison steak(s). Turn your heat up so it's somewhere between medium and high.

Check the meat occasionally to make sure it's cooking all the way through. Venison cooks pretty fast since it is a very lean meat.

When the steaks are cooked to your liking, serve and enjoy with mashed potatoes and or dinner rolls. Yum!
