Sauteed Venison stew meat

by Don
(Ladysmith, WI USA)

Rather than roasts or steaks we take the best cuts of venison and cut them into stew meat size pieces. We then freeze appropriate quantities in shrink wrap packages.

Once thawed, place the pieces in a large zip lock bag and add your choice of seasoning (we prefer Fryin' Magic but have also used Shore Lunch and Uncle Buck's Fish Batter Mix - your choice!). Shake well in the bag until all pieces are nicely coated. Sautee in olive oil with plenty of onions and/or mushrooms. Serve hot with wild rice or a baked potato.
