deer chili

i make this in a 6 qt roaster

2# of ground venison

1 qt of tomato juice

4 celery stalks finely chopped

1 green pepper finely chopped

1 onion finely chopped

1 lg can bushs baked beans with onion

2 cans of diced tomatoes with onion and garlic

1 pk of chili seasoning

1 jar of pace picante sauce (medium)or use hot if you like it that way

1 tsp of salt

1 tsp of pepper

1 tbsp of chili powder
(i use 2)

1 tbsp of garlic powder

2 tbsp of roast beef seasoning (optional)

1 can of beer (your choice)

brown the meat in skillet til done, turn heat down and dump veggies (celery,pepper,and onion) on top and cover to let veggies cook for 10 mins. put meat and veggies in strainer and let drain. then add to roaster and cook on 275 for 90 mins
